| | Hi kfeto,
I think what you mean is:
(In order) to understand better the information, I ask you to send me a notification in Turkish.
Is that right? |
| | 23 Junho 2008 00:23 |
| kfetoNúmero de Mensagens: 953 | yeah the second part sounds better like that.
the first im not sute about.
theres nothing about a specific information |
| | 23 Junho 2008 00:32 |
| | To get better informed... (maybe that?) |
| | 23 Junho 2008 00:38 |
| | "So I'm informed better" |
| | 23 Junho 2008 00:40 |
| kfetoNúmero de Mensagens: 953 | no lilian, it is fine just as the first version and certainly no worse then To get better informed |
| | 23 Junho 2008 00:47 |
| | I can't agree with that "So I'm informed better", I'm sorry. |
| | 23 Junho 2008 11:52 |
| kfetoNúmero de Mensagens: 953 | |
| | 23 Junho 2008 14:19 |
| | "So that I might be informed better"
That would be perfect inverting the sentence, not in the beginning.
You should turn the sentence into:
"I request that you send me a notification in Turkish so that I might be better informed." |
| | 23 Junho 2008 15:20 |
| kfetoNúmero de Mensagens: 953 | im gonna leave the order of "better" because otherwise it changes the meaning slightly. |
| | 23 Junho 2008 15:28 |
| | How would it change the meaning even slightly?
"informed" and "better informed" work as adjectives.
If you consider "better" as an adverb (in a better way), it still comes before "informed".
|
| | 23 Junho 2008 15:31 |
| kfetoNúmero de Mensagens: 953 | well i wanna use it as an adverb.
so it should come after informed.
before it could also be an adj as you say, but behind it, it cant so theres no confusion |
