For being gentle/delicate/fragile, I've lost my life.

Hello Shiny
I want to tell you something. We really don't know the context in which the text appeared that's why we don't come up with liberal translations. Though, it really doesn't make sense to be litteral with our translation. In fact, it's a bit of this and that!
and let's take this text as an example.
A litterl translation would be:
لكوني لطيفة/هشة فقدت حياتي
It really sound coming from an arabic native speaker, I agree. Plus we didn't have a clue whether a female or a male said that.
A liberal, bit of litteral trnslation to avoid unclarity and misunderstand would be:
لأجل لطفي/هشاشتي فقدت حياتي
That's an acceptable one, don't u think? tell me if you have alternatives.
We didn't ignore any word:
1. for =لأجل
2. being = عالجناها بأن نسبنااللطف للمتحدث
3. I've lost my life = well, that was the easy part wasn't it?
and we avoided the female/male thing.

It isn't. Just pick the one u prefer. but I'd love to tell u that some people love to learn about the language. So instead of:
فقدت حياتي بسبب لطفي .
just swich and putبسبب لطفي in the begining so a reader would compare the translation with the original text much easier.

By the way...
not sure we should translate it as لطف
I believe it is about being fragile.
