Las últimas dos semanas fueron increíbles, la gente caminaba con el abrigo en sus manos, estoy muy feliz por esto.

I'm really happy about it = Estoy muy feliz por esto

My opinion : "Las últimas dos semanas fueron increíbles, la gente andaba por todas partes con los abrigos en las manos, y esto me encanta."

I think Freya's translation is the best one.

I also like Freya´s one the most, but they original does not say ´me encanta´. It is ´I´m really happy about it´, and ´todas las partes´ is not needed, because ´la gente´ simply ´andaba´, it is not specified where.

Anyway, I edited it, so that you could click the green button.... !!

The problem is that I wouldn't say in Spanish "estoy feliz por eso" when I am happy about a situation like this. It sounds awkward, like Spanish spoken by a foreigner. If I said "estoy encantado con eso" or "eso me encanta" I would be implying the same idea as "I'm really happy about it". In my opinion, at least.
