It is true that "where did you go" could mean: where did you disappear? But it could also mean a host of other things. I am therefore in favour of a more literal trans. - "where did you disappear?"
I translated it as "Where did you go" because Lina85 had written that it was "Skrevet till en man", so I figured it was in some sort of a web chat or something.
In Swedish it is acctually written "Where did you disappear", but, quite strangely (people speak like that sometimes, though), "what" in the meaning of direction (not place). I just thought, if the meaning of disappear could somehow be clearer in the translation, then it would be even better. Otherwise I still think the translation acctually conveys the message of the original.
