If it's a saying, in English it should read:
"Where there's life, there's hope"

Hi FIGEN, the problem is that the original is incomplete. The full saying is:
"Aegroto, dum anima est, spes esse dicitur"

meaning:
"It is said that for a sick man, there is hope as long as there is life"

ok, that means, the request's made for the second part, only. then, I'm gonna to accept the translation, coz the meaning is right.
