Yeah, the main problem was, I hadn't heard of this specific kind of "tori-ma jiken" violence in Canada, so I didn't quite know what to call it...
It's almost always a lone attacker, with a knife or something, just walking or running or cycling etc through the street, and randomly slashing or hitting people as he goes by...
The usual English translations above gave me the impression that the attacker "hangs around" to do more damage or steal something, etc?
Anyway, as long as the "tori-ma" concept is understood, I suppose they would be equally good translations...?
