I would also like to know how your control systems are in general assembled and what preventive measures you take regularly to assure that none of your products may cause health problems to consumers. |

Is that "systems" or "system"?
You have to combine the plural noun with the plural form "are".
Anyway we'll have to make a change.
It'll be:
"...how your control systems are, in general (usually), assembled..."
or
"how your control system is, in general (usually) assembled..."
regular to secure ---> regularly to assure
can---> may
for the consumer ---> to consumers
What do you think? | | | 30 Juin 2008 15:51 | | piasNombre de messages: 8113 | I think that you are right! I guess that they are talking about several control systems, so it's in plural, thank you for your explanation. I seems to forget that ALL the time .. How it works in English.
So, I'll edit to your suggestions | | | 30 Juin 2008 18:17 | | lenabNombre de messages: 1084 | I would like to have the verb after "in general".
".. the control systems in general are assembled.." What do you think? | | | 30 Juin 2008 18:28 | | piasNombre de messages: 8113 | Yes lenab, that sounds good to me! But I'm not the English expert, so we better wait and see what SHE THINKS! | | | 30 Juin 2008 18:36 | | | If that "SHE" is me, I'd say that "in general" like "usually, commonly, always, never, etc..." has to be placed between the two parts of a compound tense or a passive voice like in this case. | | | 30 Juin 2008 18:52 | | piasNombre de messages: 8113 | Yes, sorry ...I know your name Lilian.
So I guess that it's ok. as it is, right? | | | 30 Juin 2008 22:43 | | lenabNombre de messages: 1084 | I aggree, now that I've read the swedish text again. I was thinking of the systems in general and how they were assemled! Sorry! | | | 1 Juillet 2008 12:21 | | piasNombre de messages: 8113 | You don't have to apologize lenab
At least I think it's good that you "make your voice heard", when you are in doubt about my or other translations. |
