Hi Alessandra, Hi Natai,

Although it means more than one thing (in this case "suns" ), "thousand" IS a singular noun and it requires the indefinite article "a".

You can use it without, when it's into plural and followed by the preposition "of", like in:
I've told you that thousands of times.
Otherwise 'thousand' and 'hundred' are singular nouns.
