Why do you ask that? Wasn't you who did it?
The poll will show whether it's accurate or not. | | | 16 Julio 2008 08:39 | | | "beyond" would be "al disopra","sopra"... | | | 16 Julio 2008 10:56 | | | "There are always thousand Suns behind the clouds" (without "a", which is used only before a SINGULAR word!) | | | 16 Julio 2008 11:53 | | NataiCantidad de envíos: 25 | lilian canale, it was me, I just requested a new target language for this text, but it's already unimportant
Alessandra87, is "thousand" not singular? | | | 16 Julio 2008 12:25 | | | Hi Alessandra, Hi Natai,
Although it means more than one thing (in this case "suns" ), "thousand" IS a singular noun and it requires the indefinite article "a".
You can use it without, when it's into plural and followed by the preposition "of", like in:
I've told you that thousands of times.
Otherwise 'thousand' and 'hundred' are singular nouns. | | | 16 Julio 2008 14:12 | | NataiCantidad de envíos: 25 | |
