Hi dear experts in English
There are 3 possible solutions for this text :
-we set it in "meaning only" and leave it as it is
-we edit it
-we remove it with the 6th rule
As you're experts in the source-language, I won't do it and I leave it to you.

I don't understand the "chal"?
(Am I too old, or what?)

Isn't chal a short form of a name?

It may be a misspelling for: "Chao", meaning "bye" in Portuguese.
