Title
that is, a man who was read only one
Translation

Translated by Tantine
Target language: English

I am fearful of a "one book man"

that is, a man who has read one, unique book, but who knows it inside out. There is, effectively, more true science in he who has read one unique, good book - but who has read it well, than in he who has read many and has never taken the time to meditate on them.

I've submitted a slight amendment. I overlooked the word "bon" by accident. Hope this is better
