Hi ps
The English is fine, I have set a poll as I don't speak any Dutch.

I'm not sure but is 'that's where we stand' basically a description of 'where we are now', 'this is the situation'?
The Dutch text is about principles: 'that is what we stand for', 'that is what we find important'.

'That's where we stand' betekent: 'Dat is waar wij staan'. Het gaat hier helemaal niet over 'staan' in de letterlijke betekenis. Een juiste vertaling is volgens mij: 'That's where we stand for.'

Hi Ceciliadlibitu
Please could you explain in English, I don't speak any Dutch, if not, your contribution to the discussion is of no use to me at all.

She basically said the same thing I said - this text is not about standing in the literal sense. She suggests 'that is where we stand for'.
