Dear Lein,
Dosen't "old friends have ended up not calling each other" mean positive ?
But Turkish text says " "old friends don't call each other any more."
or,
"old friends have ended up in touch with each other"

end up or end up (something) or end up (doing something) : to reach or come to a place, condition, or situation that was not planned or expected
Do not confuse 'end' with 'end up'.
