| smyNumber of messages: 2481 | what about "can't I grieve for the days passing without you"? |
| | 26 July 2007 15:05 |
| | Is the person asking for permission? |

| smyNumber of messages: 2481 | The person isn't actually asking for permission but it means that it's the most natural thing to cry and it means why I shouldn't cry. your translation means "sensiz günler beni ağlatmasın mı"? |
| | 26 July 2007 17:14 |
| | And yours means "sensiz günler için ağlayamaz mıyım?"
The problem here is that a word-for-word translation is impossible. We just have to pick a loose translation that gives the same feeling. I think mine leaves less room for misunderstanding. |

| smyNumber of messages: 2481 | "geçen" kelimesini koyamıyorsan tamam |

| | Pardon - şimdi anladım "passing" kelimesini koydum şimdi. Haklısın - daha doğrudur. |

| | Why not, "shouldn't the days I spend without you make me cry?"

| | That would be "sensiz geçtiğim" instead of "sensiz geçen". |
| | 27 August 2007 10:28 |
| smyNumber of messages: 2481 | daha doğrusu "sensiz geçirdiğim" olur |

| | Oh - sorry - you're right. |
