skirt material = the pice of material used for a skirt, I don't know why it's specific "kjolestoff", but I guess you don't use curtain fabric to a skirt...

bolt width = breadth

Just a question Lilian, what's the difference between "piece of material" and "piece of fabric", isn't it the same?

They are synonyms, (fabric, textile, cloth, material) however, "cloth" or "fabric" is more usual to talk about pieces of clothing. "material" has a more general use, it can be anything of which thing are made.
