There should be no accent over the ú; it should be
Ai shite iru.
Tomodachi desu.
---
This could not have been written by a native speaker, because the "ai shite iru" means "I love you" in a romantic, passionate way, and "Tomodachi desu" means "(I) am (your) friend" or "(We) are friends."
(There are usually no singular/plural distinctions in Japanese, subjects and objects are not grammatically required, and verbs are not conjugated; hence the ambiguity)
The second expression could not possibly be used by a Japanese native speaker back-to-back with the kind of Love expressed by the first "ai shite iru."
