I agree with merdogan, since in English it would be unusual to use the word "life" in such a context.
For me the important thing about a translation is that is should never "look" or "feel" translated. The person who reads a translated text should "feel" that the text was written directly in that tongue.
Don't forget, we don't translate word-to-word, we translate wor ld-to-wor ld!!
