I don't think that's what the source text actually means. "...um zusammengetreten zu werden"?? We're talking about women aren't we?

I guess it's best to ask one of the Portuguese experts. The way it is now (even though there are many people voting FOR it), I really cannot accept the translation.

"mulher" - "woman" - "frau" (I think... I don't speak german, but I think that it is)

The woman was shaped out of Adam's rib
not out of his feet so she would be trodden on
nor out of his head so she would be superior
but out of his side so she can be his equal
