have this problem with guide books. I read too many hurriedly (usually on a plane) and then forget them and my debt to them. When I’m travelling, I soon learn which to reach for first (perhaps the safest indicator of which is best).

Έχω αυτό το πρόβλημα με τα βιβλία-οδηγούς. Διαβάζω πάρα πολλά βιαστικά (συνήθως στο αεροπλάνο) και μετά ξεχνάω αυτά και το χρέος μου σε αυτά. Όταν ταξιδεύω, σύντομα μαθαίνω σε ποιο να προσφύγω πρώτα(ίσως η ασφαλέστερη ένδειξη για το ποιο είναι καλύτερο).
Vërejtje rreth përkthimit
Το " Which to reach for first" είναι αμφίσημο: Κυριολεκτικά σημαίνει "ποιο να πιάσω πρώτα" αλλά χωρίς επιπλέον κείμενο δεν μπορώ να είμαι σίγουρη αν σημαίνει "να συμβουλευτώ" ή απλά "να διαβάσω".

Αν μιλάμε για tourist guide-books τότε = τουριστικοί οδηγοί/ταξιδιωτικά βιβλία/τουριστικοί οδηγοί.
