I did the same kind of mistake recently wwith "sweatheart" instead of "sweetheart" (lol!) | | | 24 Aŭgusto 2007 16:34 | | | meet with two people like that | | | 24 Aŭgusto 2007 23:41 | | | No - it should be "We will never meet again" - "gonna" is not a written form, and it's not used for future predictions - only for something of which you are certain.
This was not written by a native speaker. | | | 24 Aŭgusto 2007 23:50 | | | No, a Dutch member, good English speakers though.
But about something that is strictly for writen language and something which is, for instance in a book (small quote of it), you still can see these "gonna" if the writer just is describing a scene in which someone is talking, can't you?
So that you can see "I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that" sometimes, somewhere, can't you? | | | 25 Aŭgusto 2007 00:20 | | | OK, but a native speaker would never even say "Never we're gonna meet again" - if at all, we would say "We're never gonna meet again". | | | 25 Aŭgusto 2007 00:33 | | | Ah, right!(unless he's drunk and says "never we're never gonna meet again!" (joking!) | | | 25 Aŭgusto 2007 14:35 | | | Even when drunk, we don't tend to sound like non-native speakers, although I've never recorded my own ravings ... |
