does this mean: "I love the life, but I have no fortune"
I'll give you some points for the help CC: Tantine | | | 20 January 2008 20:47 | | | Hi Pias
It means "I love life but I don't have much luck". The French is incorrectly written, I will edit into correct French, then you can translate it well.

gör en liten korrigering här, och sedan så godkänner jag din översättning.
Före redigering:
Jag älskar livet, men jag har inte tur.

ser att du lagt ut denna för omröstning, jag avbryter den och godkänner...som sagt. | | | 21 January 2008 06:05 | | MMimeNumber of messages: 2 | Sorry, but I don't agree with "inte mycket". That means "not much", or "pas beaucoup de" in French (and no "pas de" ).
Also, the first translation of Pias sounds correct to me ("pas de chance" = "no fortune" = "inte tur/lycka" ). | | | 21 January 2008 11:40 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Hi MMime,
this is kind of difficult to give you an answer here, since I don't understand french.
We may ask Tantine again.
Please Tantine,
could you help us here? CC: Tantine | | | 21 January 2008 15:16 | | | Hi Pias, hi mmine
Mmine, en français, "chance" = luck en anglais. Pour dire "fortune" en français, nous disons "fortune" alors, je mantiens toujours que "pas de chance" doit être traduit par "no luck"
Pias, Mmine is pointing out that I made a mistake in translating, I added "much", which led to a mistake in the Swedish version. It should read "I have no luck". He is then saying that he doesn't agree with my translation of the sentence into English. I have explained to him that I maintain my position as to the correct translation into English being: "I like (or love)life but I have no luck."
