a few questions to make the English sound better. As I don't understand Turkish, please let me know if my suggestions fit the original:

- what do you mean by 'pain of the hand was empty'?

Yes it is. It is an idiom.

Literally: Ask me about the pain of a hand that remains utterly empty.

In Turkish, if your hands are figuratively empty , that means you lost your all.

In this case it is your love.

OK - I feel very silly for not seeing this earlier but of course there is a very similar expression in English, which can mean both. How about this?
