Lilly,
"Deus guide meus passos!"
means:
"God, guide my steps"
or
"God guides my steps" (Latin version means exactly this!)
CC: lilian canale | | | 17 December 2009 19:18 | | | Moreover, there is a mistake in Latin.
gressus = IV declension! so accusative plural should be "gressus" (not "gressos" ) | | | 17 December 2009 20:20 | | | "Deus, guie meus passos!" = "God, guide (imperative) my steps!" CC: Francky5591 | | | 17 December 2009 20:35 | | | Francky, it needs more edits.
Latin version means exactly this:
"God guides my steps",
but should mean this:
"God, guide my steps"
So:
"Deus gressus meos ducit"
--> Deus, gressus meos du c!
CC: Francky5591 | | | 17 December 2009 21:00 | | | I brought both translations back to be evaluated.
Please Aneta, choose to accept the one that needs fewer edits and reject the other, OK? | | | 17 December 2009 22:55 | | | Ok, just done! |
