Πολλοί από τα πληÏώματα πνίγηκαν, ενώ ο ίδιος ο Αγαλλιανός ἔνοπλος ἑαυτόν á¼Ï€ÏŒÎ½Ï„ωσεν. | Remarks about the translation | Well, it is mixed modern and ancient greek.
According to history, the said general Agallianus drown himself into the sea in order not to be captured, because he was a revolter.

It's Modern Greek apart from the phrase within the quotations marks which is Medieval Greek and it should be "... ἔνοπλος ἑαυτόν á¼Ï€ÏŒÎ½Ï„ωσεν". | | |
