It's kind of a small point, but can you tell if
TUDO
means
ALL THINGS
or
ALL PEOPLE
or could it mean both?
In French, au-dessus de tout would be all things and au-dessus de tous would be all people, but I don't know if they make this distinction in Brazilian...? | | | 21 September 2007 01:58 | | | Sorry Goncin, I forgot to CC you for the note above! The word "tudo", indeed, can have both the senses you said. Just as you questioned me now, I think that everything would be more suitable in this case. I'll edit it. Thanks. | | | 22 September 2007 06:17 | | | Hmmm...
You know, in that case I like your original translation best!
If it can be both all people and all things, then "all" is actually better, I think. "All" would clearly include _people_ too...
If you understand and agree, we can change it back to "all." If not, it's such a small point that I can validate your translation as it is now anyway, with "everything"!
What do you think? | | | 22 September 2007 06:17 | | | Sorry! Forgot again... CC: goncin | | | 22 September 2007 11:25 | | goncinNumber of messages: 3706 | Hi, Ian! Just restored my backup...
