E solo quando m'avrÃ perdonato, Ti verrÃ desiderio di guardarmi. Ricorderai d'avermi atteso tanto, E avrai negli occhi un rapido sospiro.

The Mother

And when the heart, by its last beating,
Has made the wall of shadow fall,
In order to lead me, Mother, up to our Lord
You will give me your hand as you used to.
On your knees, determined,
You will be a statue in front of the Eternal,

You will lift your old arms, trembling,
As when you passed away
Saying: "My God, here I am"
