Could you say that in other words so that I may understand the sense?

I can try Lilian.
"We stamp with our feet while we are waiting"

OK I got it now!

So, I guess the sentence would read:

"We leave our footprints while waiting (walking?)"

No .. it means that: while they are waiting (for something) they beat with their feet.

It's ok. if you like to reject this one and let a "real" Dane try Lilian, I don't think that I can explain it better.

Hummm, well that's a different thing!
You mean "tap"
"While waiting, we tap (keep tapping) our feet."

Yes!!!!
Even if I think (?)that "stamper" is more "rough" than "tap". How to explain ... If you have something under your shoes (snow or something) you "stamper" to get rid of it.

Hi gamine
Which one do you mean, The origin?

No ... not shake here I think.
"stamper" = tramp, stamp

Lilian (again) It's ok if you reject it.

Hej Pias. YOUR translation in English is just OK.
It's exactly the tranlation of the DANISH ONE.
Have I explained myself clearly enough? Otherwise
let me know.
your translation is just SUPER!!!!!

Pias, I wouldn't waste so much time on a translation if I intended to reject it.
I just want to find the exact meaning before setting a poll, I don't want the polls I set to get negative votes. See what I mean?
If you think that "stamp" is the correct verb to be used, it's Ok to me.
You just have to correct the sentence from:
"While we are waiting we stamps with the feet’s" to:
"While we are waiting we stamp with the (our) feet." OK?

Yes ..but the thing is that the English must be understandable, they might not express it that way. Thanks for your suport gamine!

Hi ladies.
Lili(here):
stamp¹ [stӕmp] verb
to bring (the foot) down with force (on the ground)

I just don't understand why "stamps".

Yes Casper, "stamps" was kind of a typo I think, cause this is not about letters.
