| But the other people don't know... | | 번역될 언어: 영어
But the other people don't know what they do when they wake up, just as they forget what they do when they're asleep. Eyes and ears are bad witnesses to people with undeveloped souls. | | I think those are quotes from Heraclitus |

마지막 글 | | | | | 2008년 9월 24일 18:47 | | | Excellent but i think ''á¼Ï€Î¹+λανθάνονται'' means forget -something like: just as they forget what they do when (they are) asleep. | | | 2008년 9월 24일 20:45 | | | You're right, Reginna, I'll edit, thanks! | | | 2008년 9월 26일 12:36 | | | Uru,I googled it and I found a translation here .
But (δὲ) other (ἄλλους) men (ἀνθÏώπους) know not (λανθάνει) what they are doing (ποιοῦσιν) when you wake (á¼Î³ÎµÏθέντες) them up, just as (ὅκωσπεÏ) they forget (á¼Ï€Î¹Î»Î±Î½Î¸á½±Î½Î¿Î½Ï„αι), what they do when asleep (εὕδοντες).
Hope it helps! | | | 2008년 9월 26일 19:29 | | | Ah, that's the original text!
Odd, I'd swear á¼Î³ÎµÏθέντες is passive, yet it's translated as active. Maybe that translation is more fluent? Anyway, that one is correct for sure! Thanks | | | 2008년 9월 27일 12:31 | | | επιλανθάνω I would either translate as don't know or "miss", "don't realize", I think.
Anyway, while not verbatim translation maybe, it's more than perfect for meaning only eh? |
