Why "Essem Nulla"?
"Nulla" could be ablative of Nihil: so "Nihil" is the right word. Nominative, since the verb is "to be"
"Nulla" could be female nominative, female ablative or nominative plural of Nullus, Nulla, nullum.
Since we don't know if the subject is male or female, Latin prefers male: "Nullus"
So or Essem "Nihil" or Essem "Nullus"
I could be wrong. I wait for your explaination to decide.
