Selam aleykum, my brother. You invited me for friendship, but we don't even speak the same language so how were we to talk? I don't understand. I added you so you would not be offended. Should I delete you, please don't misunderstand me. Go with God. | Remarks about the translation | a bridge for this?:كتب كتعليق على صورة |

ตอบล่าสุด | | | | | 19 June 2008 00:37 | | | Kfeto,
Why is that interrogative form:
"Should I delete you..." | | | 19 June 2008 01:27 | | | i don't understand the question.
because thats what it says in the original? | | | 19 June 2008 01:45 | | | "Should I delete you" is an interrogative structure, it should have a question mark at the end and it doesn't. What I ask you is if that is a question in the original (so it needs a (?)) or if it is not a question, then you should invert to: "I should delete you".
Did you understand now? | | | 19 June 2008 09:47 | | | ha ok, now i understand:-)
no. "should I delete you" is not necessarily an interrogative structure.
as it is used here, it means: "In the event that i delete you"
or "if i delete you" | | | 19 June 2008 17:08 | | | Oh, Ok, I got it now.
In the first sentence I think we should change the punctuation, it should read:
"You invited me for friendship , but we don't even speak the same language so how were we to talk ? I don't understand ."
What do you think?
| | | 19 June 2008 17:10 | | | | | | 19 June 2008 17:14 | | | You forgot the comma before "but". I'll insert it and set a poll, OK? | | | 19 June 2008 19:22 | | | anlamdım (anlamadım) = I didn't understand
Can "Should I delete you" be "if I delete you"? | | | 19 June 2008 19:42 | | | Hi merdogan,
Yes, it can be. | | | 19 June 2008 20:07 | | | Selamınaleyküm my brother | | | 19 June 2008 22:25 | | | how were we SUPPOSED to talk demek daha doğru herhalde... don't misunderstand me yerine de don't get me wrong demek daha yakışabilir... Allah'a emanet olun İngilizce'sinden de emin değilim. | | | 20 June 2008 01:56 | | | merhaba doc
neyse onemlisi:
hosgeldiniz cucumise! |
