Hi Latin experts,

Could you have a look at the original and make the proper edits if necessary?

Thanks in advance

The problem is that the first part of the sentence is plural, while the second has a singular verb and a word - "Graecis" - whose case doesn't fit at all.
Maybe we can edit:

"Graeci nati, Graeci morientur"
"Those born Greek will die as Greeks"

I think this could be the original meaning of the sentence.

I also think that it should be "morientur". But I just tranlsated what was given
But why is the case of "graecis" strange?
If it's "Graeci" instead it means "Greek people (are) born, Greek people will die".

OK, then, could you edit the original so that we can adapt the translation?

"Graecis" is a dative case ( "to the Greeks, because of the Greeks" ). Here you need a nominative case ( "Graeci" ) because it refers to the subject of the sentence ( "they... as Greeks", being "as Greeks" a predicative expression referring to the subject ).
Hope it could help.
I'm going to edit the sentence, ok?

I'd rather consider "graecis" as ablative case, and I thought I had learned that that case can also be used in the meaning of "as...". But I'm not that much of an expert, so if you are sure, Efylove, that this is normally being expressed by nominative case, I have no problem with you editting it.
I see you already did it, I'll correct my translation.

They were born Greek, they will die Greek.

Nothing suggests a word "those" in this Latin sentence.
