Actually, the person for whom this poem is intended is to leave far away (its author has given us some clarification after we had asked him for [this is the first version of the poem])...

Your translation is "robustissima et concisissima" but are you sure that "gratias agere alicui" can be constructed with accusativi cum infinitivo?
