| | well,
'no puede explicar completamente' means I can't completely explain' |
| | 16 July 2007 10:26 |
| | I think here the meaning of "but can't quite place" is "but can't quite explain" |

| | el mensaje par ami no esta correcto porque la traduccion no es lo que la oracion origianl quiere trasmitir. yo lo pondria de esta manera: CulparÃa todas las cosas que me siento pero que no puedo colocar absolutamente |
| | 17 July 2007 01:08 |
| | "to place" in this context means to "remember where it belongs". |
| | 17 July 2007 01:49 |
| | yo tengo culpa de todo lo que siento pero no puedo colocarlo en su lugar |
| | 17 July 2007 03:21 |
| | ok, my first idea was :
reprobarÃa todas las cosas que siento pero que no puedo explicar completamente
After reading all your messages, I changed it, now :
ReprobarÃa todas las cosas que siento, pero no puedo colocarlo en su lugar. |

| | D'accord Kafetzou, j'ai encore modifié. j'espère que maintenant c'est bon. |

| | I think the verb place isn't well-translated. |
| | 17 July 2007 11:50 |
| | "can't quite place" may be intended as a parallel to "feel", not to "blame". That would be grammatical, but a little nonsensical. I think that is the intent of the target "que ... pero que".
However, consider the idiom "to place blame". The writer would place blame if he knew where to place it.

| | Wow - I hadn't thought of that! But "blame" is a verb here, not a noun, so I don't think "to place blame" follows the grammar of the sentence.
I think it is correct now: "ReprobarÃa todas las cosas que siento, pero que no puedo colocarlas." |

| | I'd blame all the things I feel... = culparÃa/ echarÃa la culpa de todas las cosas que siento...
...but can't quite place = si supiera como ponerlo/ pero no sé como ponerlo.
I've read all the messages and I think this could be the meaning into spanish. |
| | 18 July 2007 15:01 |
| | i`d blame myself for all the things that i feel, but i can`t pgive a place |
| | 18 July 2007 15:16 |
| | I like both of your ideas above, Lila F. Maybe "pero no sé como ponerlas" would be best. |
| | 18 July 2007 19:31 |
| | I like "pero no sé como ponerlas". |

| | Lila F., you might want to re-set the voting. CC: Lila F. |
| | 18 July 2007 22:03 |
| | Now, "me echarÃa la culpa de..." means "I'd blame myself for all the things..."
|
| | 18 July 2007 22:13 |
| | "I'd blame all the things I feel" = "EcharÃa la culpa/culparÃa a todas las cosas que siento" |

| | considero, que esa traducción representa perfectamente el sentido de la frase, muchas gracias a todos |
