Target language: English

Despite everything and at all cost, I always stick to my word like a shadow, because that is who I am!
Remarks about the translation
The exact meaning, is " I always stand upright behind my word as my shadow stands erect behind me all the time", and the translation word for word is "I always stand upright behind my word like my shadow".

Hi buketnur

Me again

To make the sentence flow a bit better (sound more natural), I would suggest:

I always stick to my word like a shadow, because that is who I am

Let me know what you think of that!
Thanks

I want to explain the exact meaning, it means " I always stand upright behind my word as my shadow stands erect behind me all the time", and the translation word to word is "I always stand upright behind my word like my shadow".
Again, what is your suggestion?
Thanks for your suggestinos and editing.

Thanks buketnur

I have put your explanations in the comments field. I think 'to stick to one's word' is a more natural way of saying this in English as the English don't seem to 'stand behind their word'. I have set a poll so you can't edit at the moment, but if you don't agree, let me know!

I agree about "stick to one's word", I have already tranlated like it, I just would like to explain how it is in original.
Thanks
