Hi sagittarius,
I think it would sound better and more correct:

failed ---> missed
succeeded ---> achieved

What do you think?

Hi, lilian!

I think "missed" is OK. But I left out "in" with succeeded: it should be "succeeded in". What do you think?

"achieved" is better and doesn't need a preposition.

OK. I'll change it to "achieved". Thanks for your suggestion.

Per essere assolutamente fedele al testo originale, si potrebbe forse omettere "you" e sostituire "it" con "this" nella quartultima e nell'ultima riga. Si avrebbe quindi "this makes sad" e "this makes glad"

Hi sagittarius, according to the suggestions the lines should read:

Don't think about
what you (have) missed.
That brings sadness.
Think about
what you (have) achieved.
That brings happiness.

I think the use of the present perfect is more suitable, however the simple past can be used too.

Do you agree with this version?

Non pensare a ciò che hai perso.
Questo rattrista.
Pensa a ciò che ti è riuscito. Questo rende felici.
