Why did you use "ne" instaed of "non"? "Ne" is only with coniunctivus, goncin.

ad nos--> ad nostram

but I wouldn't use "ad" here, but "pro"...

Efylove,

Latin is known for saying a lot of things while keeping the verbs omitted.

Lilian, what we used to do? I don't rememeber anymore...

Aneta B.,

You is right. This is a first attempt of translation after 8+ months of inactivity. My (poor) Latin is indeed rusted.

But "pro nobis"

I'll edit it.

Welcome back, goncin!!!
Hm, you're right, that Latin can have default predicate sometimes... But here we could imagine a lot of default verbs... It is not obvious what was supposed as a verb, so what should we do, Efee?

I agree with Aneta! Here we could have a lot of default verbs...

Now is perfect, goncin, but can we accept it without a verb? I still don't know.
Let's ask another admin as you are "new".

Could you tell us, Ernst?

Non nobis domine non nobis sed nomini tuo da gloriam'

This seems to be a paraphrase of Ps.115...

Hi Aneta

Rule 4 is very clear, we don't accept requests without any verb.

When the submitted text is in the requester's mother tongue, I think we can ask her/him to edit with one conjugated verb. It is true that Latin, as well as Russian and some other languages, have a special status regarding rule 4, because of predicates and some implicite verbs currently used in these languages. For a text in Portuguese submitted by a native speaker of Portuguese language, IMO rule 4 is to be applied.

Yes! I wouldn'r reject it. It's easy to add some verb, but I am not a person who can do it, but the requester.

Jaime, could you add to your text one conjugated verb, please.

Thanks Aneta, but Jaime doesn't read English (well, that's what said on his profile), but Portuguese would be perfect!

I can send him a message using google translator from French into Portuguese, but IMO it would be better if someone speaking fluent Portuguese did it.

I'd better do it, Francky! You know the awkward results Google gives sometimes!

Jaime, há uma regra de submissão em Cucumis que não permite aceitar para tradução pedidos que não formem uma frase completa com ao menos um verbo conjugado. Esse é o caso do seu texto, por isso a menos que você inclua um verbo, o seu pedido não poderá ser aceito para tradução.
Que tal solicitar o Salmo completo que efetivamente contém um verbo conjugado?

"Não a nós, Senhor, não a nós, mas ao teu nome dá glória, por amor da tua benignidade e da tua verdade."
Salmo 115.
