Det är precis lika sagolikt vackert som sitt rykte. Vitskimrande mot himlen. Inte ens de tusentals besökarna som väller fram över allt lyckas förstöra känslan av evighet. Ett monument som Taj Mahal - en del av världsarvet - måste naturligtvis kunna ses av hela världen och turisterna kommer också i miljontals. Förra året var antalet besökare 2,5 miljoner. Från England finns till och med direktcharter. |

It's just as incredibly beautiful as they say. White, shimmering toward the sky. Not even the thousands of visitors pouring all over are able to destroy the sense of eternity. A monument like the Taj Mahal - one of the world heritage sites - must of course be able to be seen by the whole world, and the tourists arrive in millions. Last year the number of visitors was 2.5 million. From England there is even a direct charter. |

"From England there is even a direct charter, as well."
kafetzou, Is it alright to formulate like that? | | | 28 Novembar 2007 19:42 | | | I would kick the "as well" totally. "Till och med" means "even" | | | 28 Novembar 2007 19:59 | | piasBroj poruka: 8113 | oops.... yes, there should not be 'as well'(my fault) Piagabriella didn't write that.
So kafetzou, should this be corrected?
I think ? that
"From England there is a direct charter, as well."
is the same meaning as
"From England there is even a direct charter"
| | | 29 Novembar 2007 15:31 | | | The meaning is not the same, pias. "there is even a direct charter" implies that this is an interesting, somewhat surprising piece of information, whereas "there is a direct charter as well" means that this is just an additional piece of information.
I don't speak Swedish, so I don't know what "och" means, assuming that is the word in question. If it's the same as German "auch", it should be "even". | | | 29 Novembar 2007 15:43 | | piasBroj poruka: 8113 | kafetzou, Swedish och = and
"till och med" is almost the same as German "auch".
so...thank you for explaining.
I'll edit now. |
