| | Hi dramati
"Excusez-moi" normally should be translated by "Excuse me"
"I want to apologise" would have been "Je veux m'excuser"
Having said this, the meaning is conveyed, its just not completely accurate.

| | The same thing is about German: Entschuldigung is normally translated in "excuse me" or "I'm sorry"..
but it's a short time I'm studying german, so consider more what Tantine said.. |

| | "Excuse me, I'm sorry" would be better. |

| | Excuse-me, I'm disconsolate.
"désolé" is stronger than just "being sorry".
"disconsolate" would be more accurate. |

| | Hi Lilian
In French "désolé" means "sorry", "disconsolate" would be much too strong here, and is translated into French par "inconsolable".
I agree with Kafetzou on this one, its "Excuse me, I'm sorry"

| | Technically, it should be "Excuse me," or maybe even "Forgive me." But I think that the way it is conveys the basic meaning. |

| | creo que el significado correcto es pardon, I'm sorry |

| | On a second thought I have to agree with Tantine and Kafetzou. disconsolate sounds too much strong here.
Excuse-me, I'm sorry. is the best one.
Sorry for interferring |
