Inspite of being like that at the beginning, this situation changed later on, and people from the other social stratifications and finally philosophers converted to Christianity as well.

Your tranlation gives also correct meaning, but it shows the meaning from a different grammatical way, at least I think so

	dramati Кол-во сообщений: 972	p)mmes: I think that you point is interesting, however I believe that it is self evident that the writer is talking about the Christian god and not about any other God, so I think the translation can be allowed in English. Thanks for the input.
