Yes, you are absolutely right Alex! In the meaning that 'things' could be both material and non-material stuff. (stuff that are precious in life )

Perhaps I'll have to change a little the words (because a literal translation wouldn't make sense in Latin) but before I had to be aware of the exact meaning in order to know how far I could go.
