I agree with Merdogan's suggestion of 'Opferbereitschaft' or 'Opfer'.

Der letzte Satz "Nach jeder Wahl ein Rücktritt, das ist Leben." geht gar nicht mit der englischen ÜS einher. Bei dieser scheint es sich eher um Selbstaufopferung, als um einen Rücktritt zu handeln.
Ich verstehe trotzdem nicht ganz, worauf sich die "Wahl" sinnmäßig bezieht. Die wahre Liebe kann man sich bekanntlich ja nicht aussuchen.

'Opfer' is certainly better than 'Rücktritt' but there is no 'nach' in the Portuguese text. The English translation is accurate when it says 'Each choice, a self-sacrifice'. Not: first a choice, then a sacrifice follows, but rather something like 'each choice implies / is equivalent to a sacrifice'.

Opfer bringen is "to sacrifice", a verb, not a sacrifice (noun).

I think the secnd sentence sounds better so: "Bei jeder Wahl opferst du dich selbst" but I'm not sure what the brasilian text wants to say...the other sentences are ok

I think the last sentence is a bit off. The German and English are not entirely the same. In my opinion the German might be closer to being correct than the English.

Erster Satz beduetet könnte so klingeln: Man versteht das Leben besser (Ich übersetze jetzt aus dem Englischen) und dann der letzte Satz: Jeder Entscheidung, der Selbstaufopferung.

Jede Entscheidung eine Verzichtung, so ist das Leben.
