When the works speak, the Word is alive.

Casper, could you tell me what you meant by a word "works' here, please?
You probably meant "literary works"... Am I right?

I don't really know which kind of works it is.
It's a saying by St. Anthony of Pádua (as Rodolfo Secches Teixeira said on the comments).
The official version in English is just a littele different "Actions Speak Louder than Words." (which would be, in Portuguese: Ações valem mais do que palavras [a well-known saying, indeed]).

Hi Aneta! I think here we are talking about "actions" or "manual works" - like in the motto "Ora et labora"
