I don't speak Turkish but the English text doesn't seem to flow very well. What would you think of this suggestion?
If God recognises (or maybe knows) evil but cannot prevent it, he is not omnipotent (or all-powerful); if he can prevent it but does not want to, he is not all good; if he can prevent it and does not want to, why is he God?
Please let me know if this is what the Turkish text says, or if you have other suggestions!
Thank you! | | | 11 December 2010 22:09 | | | Your suggestion is perfect, and totally correct. I sometimes try to translate literally into English and it may not sound natural to natives. I accept your translation =)

For the word "bencil", you used "not good" but in fact, the exact word is "selfish". "Not good" is suitable, too but I think "selfish" or a word which has a similar meaning would be better. | | | 14 December 2010 14:55 | | LeinNumber of messages: 3389 | Done! Thanks! I think that is what Çevirmen had originally put in the translation - sometimes I'm just too eager to change things is seems! |
