Hi cheesecake, I didn't get the meaning of the first line

How would it be in other words?

Hi lilian, I translated the words exactly actually but we might also say "words are right if you are right", or maybe "sentences tell the truth, if you are right" maybe these sound more logical what do you think ?

But what does "if you are right" mean?
if you are a correct person? if you are not wrong (mistaken)?

@Laura, could you help us here?

Yes , "if you are not wrong", or "if what you say is right", most probably. But the translation itself doesn't exactly gives the correct meaning, it can be interpreted both ways I guess..

"Sentences are true if you are true" would be better.

Shouldn't be "doÄŸru" and "eÄŸri", "true" and "false"? "crooked" is a physical characteristic, isn't it?

"crooked" also means "dishonest"

I wonder if it should just be "truth" instead of "truthfulness".
