tristangun, it isn't German staff, but German speaking staff.
And about "Freizeitmöglichkeiten" (uuh there's a mistake in the spelling of it in the German text!)it is rather "possibilities of entertainment"or "opportunities of entertainment", but kafetzou will tell the exact term for it...

I think, it's better to translate by "familiy-owned hotel"...
and it's better: "german-speaking staff" like you said, Francky - well!
"angenehmes Umfeld" => "convenient environment/periphery"

thanks Mr Rodrigues! (or maybe "family-held hotel"?)
I noticed the German and Greek texts are four and half lines big each, then the english is hardly two and half. I told tristangun he had to edit his translation, but he probably isn't here, and left without logging off, which isn't good (JP told it to me once)...

It is family-operated, not family-owned. This is an important difference, although a much worse error in the other direction.

that's correct - didn't think about this detail. But in reality a hotel can be owned by someone (also company) but the leaseholder can be a family...
