Terence, do you still sing?
Well, I'll talk to you again on msn, this week! | | | 30 Oktobar 2007 23:08 | | | Terence, zing je nog steeds?
Ik praat deze week wel weer met je op msn | | | 31 Oktobar 2007 05:59 | | | Erm it's not about the Dutch version but about the English one . I think a better translation would be 'Terence, I wonder, do you still sing? I will talk to you again on msn this week.'
Eigenlijk is usually translated as 'actually, really' but that won't fit into this translation, and I can't think of another way of putting it.. Any ideas Ian?? | | | 31 Oktobar 2007 06:16 | | | Terence, do you really still sing?
would express the writer's surprise that Terence is still singing.
Terence, do you in fact still sing?
would express that the writer heard somewhere from someone that Terence still sang, and wanted to confirm that information.
Is one of these nuances (or perhaps another one? ) expressed with this "eigenlijk"?
