In this phrase:

"We are using a translation software which I trust will prove to be satisfactory?"

"I trust" is used as a question. By saying I trust, it means "I'm not sure", so the person is asking that his interlocutor confirm that it will be satisfactory.

In French it would read Nous utilisons un logiciel de traduction, il sera satisfaisant j'imagine?"
