This translation is correct, as nowadays this French expression is used when someone's talking about someone else's visionary project, some "daydream", something which isn't materially possible to be done...
One can also translate with "castle in Spain" as well, but it won't be so explicite than "visionary project" which caught it all (true meaning reduced to essentials, stripped from historical and cultural origins you were right to mention and about which everyone can learn by clicking on the link you provided) |
