Përkthime - Anglisht-Turqisht - Don't become the apple

I've never heard this expression before, Handyy - it seems like something's missing, as in "Don't become the apple that spoils the whole bunch", or "Don't become the apple of your father's eye".

botan, gibt es vielleicht noch ein bißchen? So wie es steht, gibt es keinen Sinn.

handyy, it says under the translation that it comes from the expression "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" - that one means that the children usually follow in their parents' footsteps. I'm not sure why someone would advise someone else NOT to do this, but that seems to be what's happening here.
