All are translated correctly apart from I adore you.
Ik hou van je = I love you
I adore you = Ik aanbidden je
C.K. | | | 17 August 2008 00:14 | | | Hi C.K.,
Is "aanbidden" an infinitive? Is it ok "Ik aanbidt je"?
Thanks! | | | 17 August 2008 01:37 | | | vertaling van 'adore' is niet 'houden van' maar 'aanbidden', 'adoreren' en 'bewonderen'.
ik hou van je
ik aanbid je
P.S.
aanbidt

yes, 'aanbidden' is an infinitive.
The verb gets conjugated like this:
ik aanbid
jij aanbidt
hij / zij / het aanbidt
wij aanbidden
jullie aanbidden
zij (mv) aanbidden
NB in questions, and whenever 'jij' appears after the verb instead of in front of it, the verb loses its 't': 'Aanbid jij haar?' | | | 19 August 2008 10:49 | | | Hi Lein,
I know that, but sometimes I just make a stupid mistake because I rush to finish my translation.
Thanks a lot!
Greeting! |
